dome light removal

    how would one remove the housing of the dome light to get a hold of the little led inside?
    (the light beam down to the shifter area is kinda annoying to me.)
    & no, I don't want to put tape over it or add some putty.

    You can put black tape inside the LED's recess w/tweezers that no one would be able to see.
    It's always hazardous to remove the light assemblies from modern cars.

    I'll probably end up doing it this way, but nevertheless, how would I remove the whole assembly? I don't want to use brute force & accidentally break something.
