Anyone have the DVD headrest in leather? My question is, Are the DVD headrests made in leather only? And if so, do they look ok on cloth seats? We are wanting the DVD HR's for our kids, but didn't know if we had to get the leather sets to.

    Thanks,

Any pics of the headrests with cloth seats would be appreciated.

My installer applied Prius cloth fabric to my LCD headrests, they look fabulous (the installer does leather seats for Toyota dealers so he keeps the fabric and use it for custom jobs).

I will post some pics early next week.

You could always do it aftermarket as well. More choice and might be better quality too. That's the way I'm going. Also, it's not going to void any warranties, regardles of what the dealer says.

I have the pics of the LCD headrests with Prius cloth. LCD Monitors are from Audiovox for Sequoia 2004 and they have a great display.

    My setup is:
    - AVELECTRONIC switch box with Ecode
    - Audiovox DVD Player with S-Video OUT
    - Audiovox Headrests
    - Super TV Tuner
    - Eclipse Backup Camera

THE ENTIRE INSTALLATION DID NOT REQUIRE ANY CABLE CUTTING!!!!!

Your setup looks great with ability to watch DVD movies on the navigation monitor.
    My question is
    Will this void vehicle warranty?
How much did you pay in total for installing that dvd player, connecting interface to watch it on the lcd display of the navigation screen?
Where did you buy this equipment?
Where did you get this installed and how much did you pay for installation charges.
By the way it looks way cool for me and congratulations.

    - This MIGHT not void the warranty as there are no wire cutting.
    - The complete project was for $3,000.00 including installation.
    - My installer got me all I needed and he tailored the Headrests with Prius cloth.
    - Thank you

Thanks, sazzam...that is really cool! Do you have an '05 or '06 Prius? Also, can you provide a bit more detail on you put the switchbox and how it connects to the MFD? Is it connected to the nav DVD player under the seat?

    Prius 05 with Navigation
The switchbox is from avelectronic.com, the cable runs from the nav DVD player under the seat, connects to the switchbox. Audiovox DVD player connects to the S-VHS input on the switchbox, TV-Tuner connects to another input on the switchbox. BTW the switchbox has 4 AV inputs and 4 AV outputs and comes with a small remote control to switch between the 4 inputs for any monitor output. In my case, I can watch the TV-Tuner on the MFD and send the navigation screen to one of the headrests while the other headrest is playing a DVD movie.

I forgot to tell you about the Backup camera input on the switchbox, it interrupts the MFD anytime you put the gear on Reverse. I LOVE IT

sazzam, would you mind telling where you got the dvd headrests installed? I'm somewhat in the area (Orange County) or at least nearby enough that it wouldn't be too far of a drive to the San Dimas area and am interested in getting something similar in my soon-to-be-delivered car (06 Package 8) sometime in the next year and would appreciate a referral to someone who does reputable work (like yours!). That is so cool!!

sazzam, thanks for all of your help. Where do you end up putting the switchbox? Is there enough room under the seat to put it there with the DVD nav? Where do you put the TV tuner and how's the reception?

The switchbox and the TV-Tuner fit nicely under the passenger's seat. The reception is very good as the Super Tuner has plugs for TWO antennas.

That's great. So I assume the antennas need to be in an area that faces out the window?
