    PBS NOVA "Car of the Future," offers insight into the various pathways being pursued for vehicles. Amory Lovins of the Rocky Mountain Institute offers several analysis examples of Hypercars (that Detroit seems intent on ignoring) while Toyota is moving forward on use of carbon fiber bodies and more efficient vehicle systems.     Additionally, be sure to view the DVD "A Crude Awakening" - a global perspective on competition for oil supply. Crude oil is appropriately referred to as the "devil's excrement."

    While our politicians, legislators and Detroit "muddle toward frugality" and accomplish very little, the Japanese and Europeans are once again jumping way ahead.
