    Hello all,
I am a very new to the prius community, I recently acquired a 2013 Toyota Prius that is in need of a 12V battery replacement.
I purchased a Super Start Platinum Battery Group Size S46B24R (please no slander, it’s already purchased) and tried replacing it with my current, much older 12V battery but the vent tube didn’t fit. It’s seems to be that my current elbow vent tube is more circular and only slides halfway inside the new battery (that gets much more smaller in the deeper inside you go).
What could I possibly be doing wrong, is there some sort of stopper preventing the elbow from fully sliding through completely…? Any advice or things that I should look over would be helpful! thank you

If you can get it partially in the vent hole, you can just tape it in place. It's no big deal on the venting of this agm battery

check to see if your recent acquired vehicle has the bad flywheel.

Hmm... I though Gen3 Prius moved the 12v battery up into the engine compartment and is no longer inside the cabin where venting would be of use? The more I learn about these vent tubes that never ever get used the more I realize that it's not neccessary for the vehicle, but maybe necessary for Toyota lawyers? So weird?

    THIS.
Duct tape really IS the answer for this. :)
Or just leave the vent tube off.
