Electric Avenue - mixed bag to me

    I think the statement about Prius below sets up unrealistic expectations. What are 'lower speeds'? Are people going to get PO's when Prius doesn't accelerate them up to 30 MPH like they might think based on statements below?

    IMO, HSD is much too sophisticated to put in a box like this statement...

    "In a “full†hybrid, like the 51/48-mpg (city/highway) Toyota Prius, the electric motor solely operates the vehicle at lower speeds for limited periods."

    Well, it's not untrue, as far as the article goes. It was just meant as a quick 101 for those that still think all hybrids are plugins! I'm sure the well informed salespeople at their dealership will give them much more detailed and accurate information! Then they will come on PriusChat where we can set them straight!;)
