Has anyone gotten their BT phone system to download and read email and /or messages to them. Both units are supposed to do it. Wondering how you like it?

I think it's a Darwin Prize test. Everyone who gets it to work gets killed off texting while driving.

It worked fine on my Advanced talking to my Blackberry. You need a phone that supports the relevant Bluetooth profiles; it does not depend on having the Entune application on your phone.

I turned it off, since I found it to be very annoying and distracting.

It would help if you named the model of the phone and carrier.

Toyota's Connect website might tell you if your phone is compatible. It was untested for the iPhone 4S, but I verified it does not currently work. The Bluetooth Message Access Profile (MAP) is needed and iPhones do not support it. To check what Bluetooth profiles a paired phone supports, go to Setup > Bluetooth > Registered Devices > Details > {paired phone name}.

Are you asking what someone's particular model/carrier is? Since new phone models come out now on almost a weekly basis ... How can one owner's model be relevant? ... just sayin' ... odds are that just a fraction of PC'rs will have the same setup.
