The Prius emulates an automatic transmission. When stopped and let go of the brake pedal, the car rolls forward. In a manual transmission, the car rolls according to the slope, so stays in place on flat ground. A friend just bought a new Lexus hybrid and he can choose to emulate a manual or automatic transmission. This is all done in software, the Prius puts about 1A into MG2(?) when stopped.
Is there a way to emulate a manual transmission?

FWIW, I like that transmission creep, genuine or faux.

I'd go for no-creep, given the option. Easier to make nice "limo stops".
