Engineering Explained (Cybertruck)

    I tried to set the start time to when he fesses up at 18:55:

    In this case, there were variables noted but not tested in the video:
    • trailer tongue height and vehicle placement (15:18)
    • trailer weight - the Motor Trend trailer was ~150 lbs heavy (16:00)
    The one who controls the benchmark rules, will win. Failures result in 'better' rules or silence. This is why I use the EPA benchmark data.

    The rigorous EPA testing rules makes the results reproducible and trustable. Other ad hoc benchmarks are like the infamous "clean mpg" nonsense, hard to impossible to replicate.

    Someone left a comment to point out that even if the Cyber truck loses - it's still a very close contest. But who knows ... marketing critters could have just as easily bumped up the power into the Cybertruck to get the effect they wanted. It's marketing.
    There's a similar video out there where the ludicrous model S tows an alfa Romero on a trailer & even the trailered Alpha Beats the one racing the Model S. It's a fast sports car but nowhere near the Porsche
