Just took delivery of my gray ‘14 Plug-In

    52,900mi

    $12,500 private party, excellent condition

I’m used to driving a completely different type of vehicle, (sold my ‘13 Mercedes C63 AMG early this year) but I enjoy this one almost as much and it’s certsinly much more economical.

Hopefully I won’t need to reference the forum much, but after browsing a bit this seems like a great resource. If I have the opportunity to help, that’s always great too.

Thanks all for building a site that had answered any questions I’ve had thus far.

    Welcome and congratulations!

I agree that this is a really helpful place. @Prodigyplace has already provided the two links I was going to suggest.

And the car? I think it's an amazing piece of engineering. Anyone can build a powerful car. Not anyone can build an efficient car. ;)

I was thinking later it is a computer network on wheels. You are correct.

    Thanks for the warm welcome!

After a few days with the PiP as my daily driver I have no regrets about purchasing the car.

I did notice that it has mismatched tires but at least they are matching on each axle.

I checked the side walls of the front tires and they are only rated at 35psi max. They are Coopers trendsetters. The rear set are Bridgestone Ecopias.

Never before have I purchased a vehicle and been disappointed to find that the tires have plenty of tread depth left.

I love the challenge of trying to get maximum fuel economy, and of course I want to make sure I’m using the best equipment to do so.

When the first pair wears out, I will be fitting a set of Michelin Energy Saver A/S tires...unless something better surfaces before that time.

Anyway, I appreciate the recommendations as far as which forums to check out.

    Thanks again!

Glad you like the car. It's fantastic, imho.

I tossed a nearly new set of tires back in the 80s. Traction was so bad on those Firestone 721 tires that I replaced them with Michelins a couple months after I got the car.
