EPA Highway MPG - the Thing they don't tell you

    'They' being the newspapers and TV ...

    11 MPGs difference between city and hwy figures. 2012 Hyundai Elantra, 40 MPG EPA estimated Hwy ....

    29 MPG EPA city estimate ..... oooooooooops..

    Most conventionals are 10 to 11 MPG diff. from city to hwy MPG. Ok, the Fit is 7.

    Look at Prius, c, v ... 3, 6, 2 MPG ... heck the combined deltas of three cars are only 11 MPG.

    Yet another benefits of HSD ...

    city / hwy difference 3 times less than conventional cars ;)
