Error Code P420 Catalytic Converter

Great news for California Prius owners. My 2006 Prius' engine check light came on intermittently. Our mechanic said the P420 error code came up and that the catalytic converter needs to be replace costing $1800+! Through PriusChat.com and Priusonline.com, I read about the California Emissions extended warranty (15 yrs/150K miles). The service department at the Toyota dealer confirmed the error code and I mentioned about the California Emission warranty. They confirmed it and replaced the CC for free!
