    Europe's New Renewable Energy Directive - Alternative Energy Stocks

    Some controversial new rules for biofuels/biodiesel in EU, apparently attempting to de-emphasize or (limit to current levels) food crop sources as well as reduce palm oils imported from Malaysia/Indonesia. Some push back of course since quite a bit of that happening now.

    Euro as a group is second largest importer of palm oil after India (and ahead of China). Any reasonable policy that slows growth of palm oil industry sounds good to me.

    I add "reasonable" so you won't think I wish to put sugar in fuel tanks of industry vehicles. That would be wrong.
