EV After Market for '08s?

    It's probably premature, but does anyone know if the EV capability is included in the 08 model? Touring/#6? Otherwise, is there any known difficulty in installing the after-market capability on the 08? Heard about it from a member here...

    No such luck. And yes, you can find people who can install it for you.

    EV is not an available option on the '08.

    I installed the Coastal EV mod on my '08 a few days ago and it works just fine. I'm sure you could find someone to do it for you if you are not comfortable (although it was very easy).

    Thanks. I've ordered from Coastal and it'll be delivered this week. I don't even have my CAR yet! How's THAT for anticipation? I understand it's easy to install. Thanks!

    Please note that the EV mod has been used by Toyota in at least one case to void parts of the warranty. In the case I recall, it was a long time PC poster, so I find the story reliable. Toyota eventually agreed to replace the part under warranty, but only after he removed his EV switch. Buyer beware.
