Ev mode mod

    Do any of you guys know the the EV mode MOD will do any damage on the Prius' battery? :pukeright: :pukeleft:

    Anyway, the answer is No, it should not 'damage' the battery. It is a standard feature in the EU and Japan (and Auzzie land I think) and just doubt it would have put in at all if it was a potential 'harm' to the battery. Now, that said, if you use it all the time...like without rhyme or reason just b/c you can and you tend to deeply cycle it as low as it will let you then yes, you'd probably be able to shorten the life of the battery pack by some small amount. But the failsafes are built in to prevent too deep a discharge and you can't go too fast or too far with it.
