Exactly what is Extended Warranty?

    My '07 Prius is 5 weeks old and I've been waiting to buy the Extended Warranty from Troy. My questions about the 7 year/100,000 mile Platinum Warranty are:
    1) Does the seven years begin at the end of the original 3 years standard warranty making it a total of 10 years :) ? If not you are buying coverage for 4 years :( .
    2) Does the 100,000 miles begin after the original 36,000 mile stand warranty making the total covered miles 136,000 :) ? If not you're buying coverage for 64.000 miles. :(

    That's what I thought! Since I will put around 20,000+ miles on per year the warranty will expire in 5 years -- oh well! Guess it's still worth it! Maybe I'll be shopping for the Prius III before then anyway!

    Get the 6-year/100,000-mile warranty from Troy. It cost me $875, so that over $100 saved since you are a high-mileage driver (like I am!).
