    Thanks for the find.
Looks like a no-fuss plug and play system (no wires to cut).
I'm going to contact the vendor for the installation instructions and see where that goes.

From the vendor's website it looks like the Head Unit is on Bluetooth to Bing's maps - is that what Bing Maps really looks like on the C? 1/3 screen for the map & 2/3 screen for text? Sucks.

That 1/3 screen map is for selecting which POI you want guidance to. Once you select then it's a full map.

Are you in So Cal? If so would love to meet up with you when you do the install and check out how its done and help if I can. I also am interested in getting one.

I'm in Brentwood, not the SoCal community but the City in the San Francisco East Bay.
I was going to spend some dollars stiffening the chasis but the rear view camera is a priority for me.
My rear glass is tinted at 5% and I can't see what's back there unless I stick my head out the window.

Haha me too! I wanted to get all the Cusco goodies!

Can you post about the install here and take some pics maybe? Any pointers would be great! Thanks!

Yeah please keep me posted. I did the DIY from scratch install kit and it only worked on occasion and very randomly. Not sure why

OK - unit installed by professionals (too bone tired from spending a week at Disneyland chasing the kids & waiting in lines). Sorry, I should have taken a picture of the kit's contents but below is a copy of the installation sheet.

It is a "plug & play" installation as there is a T-Harness to plug in place of the Head Unit's factory 16 pin plug. It accepts the camera's RCA plug and the existing factory 16 pin plug. I instructed the shop to be sure to use a 12V source for the camera as the Head Unit is only 6V and to not configure the parking lines (green wire). I also instructed the shop to install the camera to the left of license plate where there is a small square outlined just left of the license plate light. The kit came with a 19mm drill bit for the camera.

The camera works well. Whatever is on display on your NAVI screen goes to the view from the camera when you shift to Reverse and when you shift out of Reverse the NAVI screen returns to whatever was on previously. The image is clear with a very slight fisheye effect. Worked well in a dark garage too.

My suggestion is to not utilize the parking lines in favor of an un-obstructed rear view.

Very clear color image - IMHO.

Thanks for the follow-up! What was the installation cost, if you don't mind saying?

How do you cut to install the camera on the license plate cover above?

Can you post close up pic of the camera?

Cool stuff! Looks perfect! Two hours install sounds good? So you don't have to remove the carpet and all the seats to run the wires?

Here's a photo of the camera installed to the left of the license plate light on the underside of the liftgate's bezel. The kit included a 19mm drill bit for the camera's mount and cable which is fed through the hollow liftgate and into the existing wire loom entering the vehicle (see photo). The cable is fed through the roof's headliner, down the A-Pillar, across the dash and into the NAVI.

The camera was installed on my 2012 C4 - I know, the ads say "2013".

Is the 2013 model out in the dealerships yet?
I've read the base 2013 will be going for $130 more than the 2012.
I've also read the 2013 will come with the center chassis brace installed as in the Yaris coupe.

If they did install the brace I doubt it will be from aluminum like the Cusco.

My SO and I spent the afternoon installing this kit ourselves (2012 C4), but used Mik's installation procedure for wiring from front to back under dash to driver's side doorsills into trunk, then up under rubber gasket into hatch). It was nearly plug-n-play at the head unit end, and most of the time was spent routing the wires.

There were a few surprises not covered by vendor's installation instructions (not written for Pruis c!). Job took 4 1/2 hours, but we were being very careful!

The addition is a success- its hooked up, goes on in reverse and shows on Nav screen! The default wire set-up gave me guidelines (which I kept, but if you connect the green, they would go away), but we needed to "program" the reverse image by connecting the white wires' option because the image was upside down by default.

    Its wonderful!!!!

    Hello everyone

I purchased this kit off ebay with no instructions. I see KaliforniaKid posted them anlog with some pics. Thanks
I have been reading Mik's thread and will be following his method for routing wires as I will also be installing foglights
Toyota of McDonough Parts — 00016-47160 Toyota Prius C Fog Light Kit

My question is for ChinchillaGirl or anyone who has the answer.

Where did you connect the 12v and ground for the camera kit above?
