Five trips to two different dealers and the HID auto level feature is working again. The sensor on the rear axle was defective - DUH! I told them that the last time when they returned it to me and said that they were working fine. I insisted that they demonstrate the lamps autoleveling and of course - they didn't. "Geez... they were working a few minutes ago!" the technician said. "Well they are not working now so fix 'em." I countered. After he replaced the sensor today, he showed me the defective part which had a bent arm connecting the sensor to the mechanism that measures how low the back end of the car had dropped when weight is piled on back there. He also had to lower the lights after the clown at the previous dealer raised them as a way to "fix" the fact that they were pointed 8 feet in front of the car!
