first long trip

Just got back from our first vacation trip in our 05 Prius. Drove pretty much the speed limit from Ft. Myers,Fl to Asheville,N.C. and then to our home in Wolf Laurel,N.C w/ lots of mountain side trips w/ temps 60 thru 90. Because of time restraints, drove ave. of 75-77 mph most of the way back to florida w/ lots of rain. Ave. mpg:52.3 This is the best I have had on open highway drvg. and I ave. 53 mpg suburban and city drvg. I have 5000 miles on my car. We were also loaded down both ways w/ supplies. Gotta love these cars!
