So we are on day two of Prius ownership and the first "only in a hybrid!" observation has surfaced.

There were some seagulls and ravens picking at things on the lane we were in. Since no other cars were nearby, I expected the birds to fly away as our car approached, however, they kept milling about... I hit the brakes and swerved to avoid them, nearly running over one. Another, which had just taken flight, came very close to hitting the windshield. ,These cars are quiet! Daayum! Maybe our car switched to EV mode since we were heading downhill...?

Be careful with the ones that come in for an aerial view. Their ballast can corrosive to your paint.

Thank you, Mike. This coming Saturday I am going to sit down with a big cup of coffee and start in on the owner's manual. Let the addictiveness begin...

Hehe, yeah. I am waxing the car tonight!
