I'd appreciate some advise and opinions on tidying up our alloy wheels. I removed the plastic covers over the alloys and found that most of the paint has flaked off. I prefer the look of the alloys without the covers, but they're in poor condition. Is it worth doing a low budget DIY restoration using some black metal paint? Remove the flaked paint then apply the metal paint with a brush (not removing the tyre).
