Flat tire on our Prius w/ 6k miles

    Somehow our Prius had a first flat tire at 6k miles, but that was without any nails or puncture to the tire.

    My wife is paranoid about it since it happened while she was traveling in Florida with her in-laws. She had to call towing service to have spare tire mounted.

    Anyone knows what can cause tire to go flat w/o any puncture? She plans to take her car in tomorrow morning to the dealer.

    How do you know there is no puncture?

    If there really is no puncture, then a defective valve stem or a cracked wheel are to possibilities, both relatively uncommon.

    If you tire was tested for no leaks by a semi -competent person, either of those would have been discovered.
