Since most of us males usually carry the FOB in our pocket (some hang it on a lanyard around their neck) and don't do anything else with it all day, has anyone seen a cover or case that will still allow the unit to work, but would protect the unit from damage by keys or other junk we dump in our pockets.

To be honest, I haven't looked for such a thing. I've "reserved" a pocket for just by fob and small change. The wad of keys, writing utensils, etc. all go in the other pocket... so all of it is distributed somewhat disproportionately. So far I haven't tipped over... :)

I recently went to a wedding and guests were given little homemade cloth containers filled with bird seed to throw at the bride and groom. I found that small pouch the perfect size for my fob. It creates enough friction that the fob will not slide out of my pocket.

    I found this site

    http://www.remotetotes.com/index.html

They sell a large unit which looks like it might work and it also comes in colors. I don't think the leather case or the metal ring would interfere with the signal. I might just order one for my car and my wife's

Thanks for the link! I just, in fact, did order one since it appears to be almost exactly what I was looking for. I'll report back after it arrives.

Just got the remotetotes case. I ordered the large one (in black) and it's great, IMHO. Kind of a tight fit in terms of the width, though, but otherwise will work well.
