Fog light indicator

    Have 2005 package 6, suprised there is not dash indicator that the fog lights are on, or am I missing something ?

    You're not missing anything... there isn't one. My german cars always had them, but maybe it's just not a toyota thing?

    It's a legal requirement in most countries. Obviously not the U.S. We've got a green indicator for the front fog lamps and a yellow one for the rear.

    Some Japanese cars have an indicator such as the Subaru Outback -- although it is fairly well hidden from view.

    Fog lights don't make a whole lot of difference anyway. A big waste of 110 watts.

    I must be a geek...went out with my PDA and took these pics, not great quality and the shot of the fog lights on cardboard(that I got from tirerack.com) make the foglights look brighter than they are. Probably the only thing they're good for is if the HID's go out, you have some sort of back up light...

    I think the effect is more noticable where the right hand lights hit the cabinet.
