They can’t even build a Maverick hybrid in 403 days how do they expect to build millions of EVs ?

I've seen two Mavericks is less time than it took me to see a Prius Prime.
I don't think they have more of an issue in making them then anybody else these days.

Sales numbers can be found lower in this post I looked them up and posted here

Incidentally when Toyota of Kentucky started up, we felt we had accomplished a monumental task if we had actually built 3 cars in a day. By the time I retired they were making 500 cars a shift running two shifts at two plants or making around 2000 vehicles a day

Here is an article about the plant where the Mavericks are being manufactured.

Ford Hermosillo is recognized as the best assembly plant in North America - BORDERNOW

Ford Bronco Sport Assembly Plant Named Best In North America (fordauthority.com)

Mexico auto production rates with world's best | Business News | tucson.com

They might know what they are doing to be able to win these awards.

For some sales figures perspectives Toyota Prius Family has 16,647 units YTD (2022) sold and delivered in US- Ford Maverick has 38,753 units YTD (2022) sold and delivered in US

They may have to visit plans to scale their production to their demand also. This is a very touchy proposition as all suppliers and workforce allocations must be aligned with their production goals. But, a very good problem to have rather than the opposite side of this equation.

It's a brand new model with a high demand that came out during time with major disruptions to supply lines for nearly everything. Deliveries for the 2022 model started in 2021. Over 13k were delivered then, and the first two quarters of this year had nearly 20k each. It's looking like 80k for its first full year.

Another new car that was more popular than expected was the gen2 Prius. First model year of 2004 has nearly 54k delivered, and it was over 100k the following year. Around me, buyers were having wait times of 6 months. That was without the extraordinary supply issues. Issues that have Toyota cutting production by tens of thousands, GM delivering some vehicles without every feature, and Ford filling lots with incomplete F150s so they can keep factories open.

The Maverick is the only pickup I would buy at this time. If I needed a pickup, I would get a Maverick, wait list or not.

I’m disappointed I didn’t order when I discovered it existed in July last year,
Sadly most who ordered outside California even on day 1 are getting their orders cancelled and told they have to reorder Aug 2 (likely at increased cost)

Considering Ford has only made 26,000 of the things, they don’t appear to be very motivated to have more volume choosing instead to make other vehicles

Right now as we speak they have yet another product hold on the Maverick to adjust more defects
