Free LA metered parking??

    Manhattan Beach, CA
    I cant seem to figure out which parts of LA County or LA City we get free metered parking. I have tried numerous cities inside LA County (Manhattan Beach, Santa Monica, West Hollywood, etc) and still received parking tickets for expired meters. Anyone have an exact map/borders of where we can park for free?
