Free parking for your Prius

    This hotel in DC is offering free parking for several hybrids. They are located in D.C. Do you know of other perks for Prius owners during this summer vacation season?

    "Green Road Warrior" Package

    In keeping with Hotel Madera's commitment to the supporting eco-friendly practices, the hotel is offering an eco-inspired Green Road Warrior promotion for summer travelers. Green-minded guests who drive a hybrid car will receive complimentary parking during their stay – a $28 savings per night! To qualify, simply show your proof of registration at check-in, and the parking fee will be waived.
    Vehicles that currently qualify as Hybrid vehicles:

    Toyota Prius
    Honda Insight
    Honda Civic Hybrid
    Honda Accord Hybrid
    Ford Escape SUV Hybrid
    Lexus RX 400h SUV Hybrid
    Toyota Highlander SUV Hybrid
    Mercury Mariner SUV Hybrid
    GM Silverado Hybrid
    Gm Sierra Hybrid

    Yeah. That means we can spend a little more on the fun part of the vacation because the cost to drive there is less.

    Free parking in Santa Monica, California for hybrids with California Clean Air Vehicle stickers.

    San Jose, California has a similar program, but it extends only to vehicles that were purchased in that city.

    I saw the Muse Hotel on the Travel Channel a few days ago- it looks like a very nice hotel, and they have room service for dogs.
