Selling a pair of brand new tire chains- QG1130. Includes optional rubber tensioner that I ordered standalone. Full disclosure; I got these for free from someone but had to order the rubber tensioner which was $20 after shipping so just recouping my cost.

I am willing to ship- should fit in a flat rate box for $13.

Don't want to ruin your sale but the prius cannot use regular chains

I can't find where I read that before. I was under the impression you can only use cables and not actual chains. I couldn't find it in my manual where it stated "can't use chains". It just mentioned chains might interfere with TPMS sensor. So I must be wrong.

Here in California you need to sign a waiver saying the dealership explained to you the new vehicle you purchased from them cannot use snow chain. My guess is to avoid any law suits for damaging the wheels in case a failed installation or something else happens.

But with the 15" wheels/tires the regular Prius use, I think there's plenty of rubber on the sides to avoid chains damaging the alloy wheels. Maybe a different story for 17" Touring/five/Persona wheels.

Yes I think that's where I might have read you can't use chains. My 2010 V has 17" wheels.
