Wouldn't monthly or weekly polls be a be a better way to capture our MPG's?? That way instead of wading through dozens of post, everyone can get a feel at what people are averaging for their MPG’s with just a glance at the poll.

Please answer this question near the end of January 2006 or early February 2006 - enter your average mpg for the month of January 2006

I got gas on the 21st. It's the only time I'll get gas this month and it was 48.6 or there-abounts. I expect the rest of month to be much the same.

Excellent idea! I'm jumping the gun a little bit, but I've already filled up twice this month and averaged 52 (calc - very close to MFD, though), and I'm on what should be my last tank for the month. Switched to E10, but still averaging 51 for the tank so far!

so what about people who fill up more than once a month? you're not getting all the data because people can only vote once in the poll.

I averaged my 2 fillups that I had this month (which should be the only 2 I have this month)

You can make an average of the tanks. I just saw the poll, but it said what was your average mpg.

I am really bummed that I lost one of my gas receipts and don't know my January average. Hopefully I can find it eventually, I need to work on my lifetime mpg again!!

I entered 44-46 even though around SD I usually get 42-43 as I did get 52 and 48 on my Solvang/Paso Robles trip this month. I love road tripping so this car is so great for me!!
