Full throttle on the wide-open road, part one

Ok, who is going to organize the "PriusChat" team?
    • Need ZVW30 - with weight reduction mods and safety equipment
    • "U" tires - per rules
    • Light-weight driver
    • Race helmet and clothing
    • 80 mph class needs supporting navigation and tracking
    • tune-up team
The only reason for entering is to win the 80 mph class ... with style:

This is crazy...I literally lived the first 18 years of my life about a half hour away from Arnold!!!

I guess it didn't start until 2001 and I left the area in 1999. I'm still surprised I've never heard about it before.

I drive over 85 every day (limit is 80) here in Austin Tx toll Hwy #130. So I would enter the 95 mile per hour event instead !
But can a Prius go 25+ miles or 50+ miles at NINETY FIVE miles per hour without melting the inverter or killing the battery?
I would need to buy one new Prius driver side seat belt for my 2010 Prius and maybe a firesuit.

You can ask a Prius to do things that would melt the inverter or kill the battery, but it will decline to do them.
