I am considering the plunge into the 21st century by buying a GPS. Is anyone here familiar with Garmin's Eco-route software? Would it give me anything significant over my SGII? I'm considering the 265wt.

I have a 755T w/ Eco-Route....basically it asks you what your car gets for MPGs city/highway and then calculates a route which is most fuel efficient - therefore usually city driving since our city mpg is better.

The point system (where you get more points based on how "green" you drive is stupid because it takes into account how fast you accelerate/decelerate and if youre coasting down a hill it will actually take points away.

The only cool thing about eco-route for me personally is that it will tell you the cost for each trip right when you select it. I doubt anyone uses the most fuel efficient route as it could add a lot more time to your trip.

Thanks. This is sort of what I was expecting.
