    Hey folks,

First tankfull of gas, down to 2 bars on the gas gauge. I realize that driving habits, conditions etc will impact fuel mileage, but my question is more of when most of you refuel. Wait until down to no bars, 1 bar left on gas gauge?.

    Thanks

I always fill up with no less than 2 pips, sometimes 3. Makes no sense to push your luck. :)

When prices are rising fill up at 5 pips. I no longer feel uncomfortable putting 5 gallons on the plastic.

I have been routinely filling with 2 bars left on the gauge. But, I've found that the amount of gas it takes has varied from 6 to 9 gallons. I suppose that's due to the bladder in the tank. I can live with that, but wish it were more consistent.
