I bought my 2006 Prius in 2009 and noticed an concern with the traction control and am wondering if anyone else has experienced this. I drive over railroad tracks often, at city street speeds not highway speeds. Going over the tracks always causes the traction control (TC) light to come on. I originally would brake as I crossed the tracks and the TC light would come on and my car would accelerate on its own. I then got into the habit of breaking before reaching the tracks so my foot would be totally off the pedal as I crossed the tracks. The automatic acceleration still happens. This doesn’t happen every time but enough. The automatic acceleration (and TC light) also happens when it’s a rough patch in the road. Has anyone else had this issue? Thx.
