For those that are less than thrilled with the look of the Gen III 2010 Prius after seeing only photos of the car - I'd recommend taking a look at the real thing.

Perhaps I'm in the minority on this one - but after seeing a blue Gen III at a local dealer - I now prefer the look of the Gen III over the Gen II Prius. Even the much maligned dorky 15" wheel covers on the Gen III's look much better in person. :)

Yup, I said the same thing after seeing the car in person back in february... Pictures just don't do the car justice. It has beautiful lines and the lines/curves change dramatically depending upon the angle you are standing. Really must be seen in person to be appreciated. :)

Not that Toyota is having any problems selling the Gen III's, but I wonder is Toyota needs a few better photographers to help show that the Gen III actually looks pretty good (in person).

Those TV commercials with all the singing trees and clouds make it look tiny and dorky, even if though it's towing the sun (which, as someone pointed out, it isn't rated to do)!

Agree. If anything, I suspect that these commercials do more to discourage sales (instead of encourage).

I took pics a few days after buying it and sealing it with Zaino and I love this one... Unfortunately it wasn't a sunny day to really show off the Blizzard Pearl.

Sorry, but could you please direct me to the accessory listing for the hydrant, that is soooo cool! (Do you have to order the sunroof to get it? Damn these packages, anyway!)

Hey Fred!! Congratulations on your car!! It looks great - even the hydrant coming out of the roof :) I'm also working with Stefcat - she told me your travel story to pick up the car - I will have a similar story from Massachusetts.

Call me crazy, but I think it looks great. (Some of this may be the Blue Ribbon color we got.)

it wasn't too bad - a six hour cab/greyhound journey that would have been 3 by car. Stef was great as were the other folks at the dealership. now i am out of town and can't drive it.

good luck on your travels to the eastern shore

I would think with a car like the Prius, consumers aren't going to be swayed by a commercial.

One of the better photos that actually captures what the 2010 looks like in person.

How could any Gen II owners not like the new Prius even from photos? The rear is nearly the same and it has a nice facelift. If you like Gen II, you have to like Gen III.

In fact, I'd make the same comment regarding the 3rd gen Lexus RX350/450h and it's a lot more different from the 2nd gen RX compared to the Prius.

Nice car! But I'd lose the hydrant... your car might end up with an unevenly tinted (yellow) paint job. :D
