First, where do you post for Gen One Prius issues?

History: This car is used and has had the main battery replaced by the dealer.

Today I'm getting check hybrid (red triangle !), check engine, and brake indicators all on at the same time. The car also acts like it's having trouble moving (like the brake is on).
    So, Ive parked it.

I was wondering if anyone has seen a similar issue?
What are reasonable steps to take to troubleshoot this?

Sorry to hear about your issues and this is the correct forum to post for the GEN1.
Being that I am also new the only thing that comes to my mind is to check your 12V battery condition.
Others with much more knowledge will be able to help you shortly as they check the forum frequently.

The Prius is very hard to troubleshoot with that vague of a description. I know you tried to be specific but we really need to know the mileage and what the DTC codes are. This would have to be read by a Prius aware scanner (usually the dealer).

Well I did hook up a diagnostic scanner: I got P3125

Not sure what that could mean.

Right now it has 135,000 miles.

Sad to say but that code, P3125, means there is a long list of sub-codes that Prius-aware scanners can report but generic scanners don't know about. If I remember correctly, several pages of sub-codes.

This means that either the inverter or the transaxle has failed. The three-digit info code is needed to decide between the two. I suggest that you have the car towed to your local Toyota dealer so you can get a diagnosis.

The inverter replacement is a reasonable DIY project; the transaxle requires much more effort.
