Should it? I started my car in a dark garage this morning and noticed a bit of light coming through the seam of the lower glove box. Shouldn't this turn off when the door is closed, or is it always on when the car is on?

The light stays on so the little people living in the lower glove box can see.

Someone previously noted that the wiring diagrams show a spot for a switch to turn the light off when the door closes, but the switch isn't there. So we have a lower glove box with a light that is on every second that the headlights are on. Strange, but harmless.

No... it stays on. It's one of my small pet peeves because every time I look over in that direction, I can see it shining thru the cracks around the door latch (fantastic fit 'n finish Toyota!).

Funny that I never noticed it before.
