Is 2011 model year soon enough for the Volt to save them?

"Jam yesterday and Jam tomorrow, but never jam today." The Volt is scheduled now for 2011, but next year it will be scheduled for 2012, and the year after it will be scheduled for 2013. In the year 2025 they'll be advertising the Volt to be on car lots in 2029.

They had a battery that gave the EV-1 a 100-mile range, but now they don't have a battery to give the Volt a 40-mile range? Hey, there's always a technology that's not quite here yet, and that's always going to be what the Volt "needs" before they can put it into production.
