Hey everyone, I just negotiated a deal on a Prius and have the same concern that I'm sure everyone has after negotiating a deal. Did I get a good deal? I got $1,000 off the MSRP and got 2.9% financing for 5 years (that's slightly better than the 3% I was going to get at my credit union).

Is that good? Bad? About average?

Enjoy the car (I assume it's a v), don't worry about the price, it will take away from the new car experience. Also realize nobody gets out of a dealership without the feeling that they left money on the table.
On another note I just passed 11,000 miles on my 11 Prius and I calculated I've saved $1250 on gas in that 11,000 miles, you have that to look forward to.:cheer2:

Depends on where you are at, in SoCal, today's ads are $2500 off msrp on all 2011. It's pretty much at every dealer

What did you negotiate for? A 2012? Those are priced now? If so, yeah, $1k off MSRP is good.

Thanks for the responses. I got a Prius 3 with the solar panel package and floor mats. MSRP was 29,295 and I got it for 28,300. They negotiated well by making me make the offer so I asked for a little lower interest rate than my credit union was offering and I settled for 1000 off the MSRP. I should have done more research into how low I could get it.
