    Hello all,

Got a cracked flexible hose that enters the fuel tank from the gas filler. Anyone have a fix for this as by looking at diagrams, there is no replacement part for the just that piece of plastic hose. It looks like it is part of the fuel tank per diagram. I will post pics of the affected area.

    Much Thanks,
    Leo

As you can see by the pics, the part does look serviceable due to the clips. Anyone know the part number for this short piece of flexible hose?

Sorry, can't help with the part number. Two thoughts. 1 -- Is it a single wall pipe to the fuel tank? If so, you must be getting a CEL as the tank is not venting correctly ..... would this not be covered under the 10/150k emissions warranty? 2 -- If the pipe does disconnect -- a salvage yard is the place to go. I would get some sort of epoxy .. or sealing tape to close it up before fixed properly (if not covered by warranty)

Interesting as I thought the Prius was out of any warranty. Do you have a link where it shows such coverage? It's got 72k on the odometer. Yes, single walled. Also, yes got a couple codes relating to evap. I sealed it temporarily to try and rid the codes so I can get it smogged.

Nope, that is actually the filler side. I need the small host that connects your part to the tank

I have a feeling it's only going to be sold with the tank.

Check with a service department. Yeah I know, the expense. But maybe they can get it up on the hoist, assess it, talk with parts, for under $100. There has to be a sub-assembly, just that hose: it is completely onerous to replace the entire gas tank.

On page "3052" of this Repair Manual excerpt (attached), there's instruction on removing the hose clamps, and on page "3057" the install. Some screen grabs:

Note in the illustrations there appears to be an insulated covering; ours looks like that too.

If it turns out be impossible to get that hose, maybe you can even find an aftermarket replacement hose, approved for use as fuel line? It seems absurd, for a hose that is clamped on, to considered part of the gas tank assembly.

Yeah, fully get it as far as buying a whole tank. The hose is easy to get to and I do know that part to the filler disconnects easily, it's the tank side that is questionable.

I think I have the same leak in my 2012 Prius V. For my car the hose is 77213-47090.
