Recently had HV battery replaced by dealer in my 2005 with 129k. No problem. 2 days later the 12v went dead. I removed and replaced it. Again, no problem except when I tried to go to my nav the screen said "please install correct map dvd". I have never had a problem with my nav since buying the car new in 2005. I assume the problem is connected to the loss of 12v power. The player is under the pass seat. Any advice in accessing it?

Refer to the navigation supplemental user manual.

There is a slider to the left of the slot; slide that to the left (away from the slot) and this will open the slot and eject the DVD.

Try re-iserting the DVD and see if that changes anything. Other than that you could try cleaning the laser read head, but I have no method to advise you on how to do that. Maybe you could try one of those DVD cleaning discs.

Let us know how you get on.
