GPS Question

    Hey does the GPS readout ever change from 300 ft? I drive 60 miles to work and it stays the same. and that is across diff states. just wondering.

    If you're referring to the "300 ft" that appears on the map, that is just a bar scale for the current map setting. Press the "+" button to zoom in closer or the "-" button to zoom out.

    My Garmin Street Pilot automatically changes scale depending on the distance to the next turn. I can override that with the + and - buttons.

    You may have a setting option to turn automatic scaling on and off.

    As said in the previous post, it's just the map scale, not the GPS error or DOP info. It only changes when you change map scale.
