Parking Lights.jpg Just got these great LEDs for my parking lights to match the white HIDs....can't stand the yellow!
Extreme Bright High Power 168 2825 LED Bulbs For Parking City Lights

The nightmare I had was when I removed the original....tight quarters!....and pushed on the new LED one I found that as I inserted it into the headlamp the LED "popped off"!....and dropped into the headlamp! Then to make matters worse I thought I would put in the old and figure out how to remove the new one later. ...then the old one popped off too!! I had 2 bulbs inside my headlight but over in the wedged area in the middle of the car.
After some thinking and avoiding the possibility of removing the bumper to pull the light i found a grabbing tool online and picked it up at the autozone with the idea of going in through the high beam socket.....IT WORKED!.....What a relief that was.
Then before I did it again I went back in the store and got a cheap roll of electrical tape. I wrapped a small piece around the base and light...worked great and it was like one piece!

Lights look awesome now!....everything is all White!

Glad you found a solution! What should be an easy project sometimes ends up being complicated.

Can you take a picture? I'm curious on how those look as the beam appears to focus up rather than a 360 around the bulb. It seems that it would be a problem given the orientation of our parking lights.

Just curious, what do those look like installed? They look like they would project light directly upwards rather than disperse light in 360.

They do point up but with magnifier lens on top they still spread a lot of light around the lens...way more than the yellow stock ones and you don't see the ugly LEDs wrapped around it when it's off. Looks nice on and off. I'll take some pics when it's dark.
Really happy with them and match the whiteness of my HIDs now.

I tried these as well. Light was a perfect match but the light does shoot upward when you walk by the car. I also heard of some people having burn spots on their lenses from these being to close to the glass so I chickened out. Just FYI. I switched to amber bulbs and couldn't be happier. I do have the Imported LUXER 360 degree bulbs that are impossible to get (Tensod them over here) They are a match with my Morimotos 5000k. PM me if interested.

Do you have pics of the amber bulbs installed on your car?

Thanks for the info on the bulbs... Because mine are taped to socket I do have a good gap between bulb and headlamp. Drove for an hour tonight and headlight wasn't even warm. Not sure how a 2 watt led could damage glass without damaging itself. It is in a plastic housing and that would melt if it got hot. I'll keep an eye on it though but feel pretty good about not hurting my lights.

Yeah...that didn't make sense to me either but I remember someone posted a pic of it so I got cold feet. The white light is very nice and if you have a gap then you should be good to go. Enjoy!

Glad to hear you got the loose bulbs out and the new ones installed correctly. It is refreshing to see that I am not the only one that suffers from misfortune when working on any mods.;)

+1. I used double side tape and a coat hanger. What a pain in the nice person.

Using some floss, I made a loop at one end and wrapped it up the length of a paper clip shaped to conform the housing (with the end covered with painters tape to prevent scratching). With practice, you can easily fish it out.

Mine didn't drop in the headlight housing but in the gap when pulling it out. I couldn't even see where it goes. I think I may just leave it there and get another bulb.

Mine fell somewhere in the engine compartment- I spent half an hour looking for it- I swear the car swallowed it!
The bulbs I ordered were $5.95 ea- but and additional $6 for shipping :(
I'm going to order an extra one (or two) this time....
