Hey all, was checking a few things out under the car today to see how easy it would be to DIY the ATF fluid. Very easy btw but noticed on the hex nuts there were green sharpie marks on both nuts. Any clue what those are for? P

Probably a lazy man's way to avoid using a torque wrench. Mark bolt's position before disassembly, when reassembling, tighten till marks line up.

They could be inspection marks to verify that the nuts are in place.

I've see them, as well as crayon wax pencil numbers on many body pieces on my car.

Toyota does love Six Sigma. Black Belt style.

    Thanks for the input.
