I believe my battery for my 2009 Prius is dead. It has been sitting in the garage for a month and a half or two. The manual says to disconnect the ground wire before jumping it. I assume this is the black wire leading from the negative terminal to the inside back door. Is this correct? Is there anything else I should know about jumping a Prius?

No need to disconnect the ground wire to jump. Use the jump point under the hood, found inside the fuse box on the driver's side.

If you are trying to charge the 12V battery, then you may wish to disconnect the negative cable from the car first. If you are trying to jumpstart the car, you definitely do not want to disconnect the battery.
