    Hi Guys!

I have 08 Prius. Three months ago, the dealer used hose to washed the engine bay. And after that, when I gently accelerate the car, I can hear "halahala" sound from the engine. It sounds like many pieces of plastics falls down to the ground.

Could you guys tell where it comes from? Sparks?

Oh, my... Take it to a different dealer for diagnosis.

As you may have guessed by now, carelessly washing the drive compartment is a bad thing. Toyota went to a lot of trouble to keep water out of the drive compartment. If water does get in, the compartment, especially around the ignition wires and spark plugs, should be thoroughly dried before turning the car ON.

Perhaps you can try and isolate the problem:

Does it happen when the car is stopped?
Does it happen when the engine is off?
What about accelerating downhill with the engine off and the car in neutral?
