    Great couple. Good decision by police. What the h**l is wrong with the rest of the commentors?
    80 kmh is about, what... 45 mph? if that? not that "unsafe" for a cracked windshield.

    Besides, these people had just survived a terrible crisis. Forcing them to go car shopping/car parts shopping before they can flee to [emotional] safety is ludicrous.

    And remember it's a RHD car so you could just about see out through the windscreen there - maybe.

    Based on the Kiwi comments about that article, Kiwis are bigger bunch of whingers than Americans, they are even worse than Prius owners.:D
