i thought this might look cool and give it a more sporty hatchback look. i have a photoshoped prius and a number of other examples of the look i'm going for with the prius.

is there any spoilers like that out there for the prius?

also what do you all think.:welcome:

Hmmm... if only I had a wind tunnel to test what the effect might be on the aerodynamics.

i think the lancer hatchback's spoiler setup with respect to the angle of the roof line, is the best representation of what a prius with a roof spoiler would look like.

i wonder if that spoiler cold work on the prius, maybe there is another spoiler out there.

does anyone know of a spoiler that would work?

I think it can be pulled off and look tasteful. I'm going to be painting the roof black at some point, because I love the look.

I would definitely go for something like that! It looks great and may help reduce cabin temperatures. I keep a flashlight in the back compartment (under the HB floor) and when I grabbed it the other day it was almost too hot to handle. That can't be good for the batteries!

Tinting would be more effective for that purpose, not to mention cheaper and more aerodynamic!

I love the look of a hatch spoiler. I hope a company comes out with one.

Aimgain makes one. And so does Tommy Kaira. Sigma has the Kaira one

^^ Sounds like you're looking for something like the spoiler on the WRX or Mazdaspeed 3 from the picutres posted by ridegsxr.

    Yip! That's pretty much it!

This is what I have in mind:

It'd match the side window vent visors...

Let me try this again and see if my pictures will show up right:

This visor/spoiler on the attached pics of my yellow RX-7 is what I had in mind for the rear hatch visor/spoiler item...

I just want something with some height to it, to be more of a feature, as opposed to just being a tiny body-colored strip across the top of the hatch window.

Here's the one that Kenstyle offers (on the white Prius):

And here's one from Ikki: [IMG]

    What to do............??

Luis, from Carson Toyota, can order it.... It's $465, plus air freight/shipping. If you order more than one thing from them, it goes down to like $445, plus u get combined shipping price. Here's their website of listings:
    [ IKKI BODY-KIT ] ZVW30 PRIUS Ver.2

I'm probably getting it, plus their rear wing, since I can't find anything cooler anywhere in the whole entire world... lol!

I'm digging the roof spoiler but for 465, that's kinda a lot. I'll have to think about that haha.

So, do you like the Ikki better? Or the Kenstyle? (the top-of-the-hatch spoiler)

I hear ya! My mom is actually buying everything for me, so she'll probably flip after I tell her how much she was kind enough to spend for everything. I haven't even begun to decide on wheels. I've just been trying to take care of the body first, since I've been driving around with my cracked bumper for a number of months now (where a guest did a hit-and-run in the parking lot at work just a few weeks after I bought it). Wanted to do the bodykit at the same time, to reduce the # of times my car would have to be in the bodyshop... So, I'm just a couple of days away from ordering everything. Probably gonna wait until Monday, in case I wake up in a totally different mood over the weekend, and decide to buy a different one...
