Ford EV?!? Yes! Well, maybe. Like the Volt, and the Leaf, and the PHEV Prius ... it seems Ford is NOT going to let the other guys out-do them, much less let the competition run away from them. So they've got at least one EV mule running around the land scape.
    Woot!

    Hmmm, not so sure.
That is dated January 2009. Are these the 'Th!nk's' that they were testing out and then bailed on?
I hope they have continued to develope the concept, would be nice to see more competitors.

Ford hasn't bailed on the focus ev, but they are slightly behind others (nissan). The Ford EV was on Leno (that experiment show that died)
    all the time.

Supposedly Ford is putting a governor on the Focus EV that will make it drive more like a gas powered Focus. That just seems stupid to me. Why remove what is an obvious advantage (acceleration) for an EV?

I really like the design of the new Focus but I would never consider getting one with this inane device on it.

Probably to increase range. the ford focus ev looks like it will come in at above 100 mile range. I think ford should install a button that, like tesla, has the standard mode and a range extended mode. So you as the individual can choose between range or acceleration.
