I'm planning on two of the three next year. Plus China. I'll let you know.

That reminds me: daniel's looking for somewhere to go this winter.

I've posted in his thread and I'm working on him now.

I have my eye on a bike tour in China.

Inspired by Tony Bourdain and Top Gear, I'd like to visit Indonesia and Vietnam.

I wouldnt recommend it as a relaxing destination ,but its fascinating for a few days.
Much safer than anywhere in the USA but way too congested and hectic.
Koh Samui and Phuket are paradise.

I visited Saigon for a week and was enraptured.
Vietnamese are the sweetest people on the planet.
They hold no grudge against Americans.
I was filled with remorse for what we did to them. You see plenty of landmine and grenade victims.I always tried to give them something.
I would love to go back and explore the
    beaches.

Born and raised in Manila, Philippines. Used to be a very nice place to live in, but not any more.

For 10 years I worked as a charter pilot and flight instructor and have access to many nice beaches that you will fall in love with. Boracay was one of them; so pristine, but now is like any resort in the Caribbean with too many hotels.

Considering that, on average, I am visiting one of the South East Asian countries every 2 months, and have done so for the last 20 years, I think that I can say that I have survived. And that does not count the 2 years living in Indonesia or the 6 months living in Thailand. Actually, once you get used to eating local Thai food, you can eat anything without worry. :D

I am posting this from Singapore, and have another trip, to Hong Kong, scheduled for the end of the month, and then one to Kuala Lumpur for the end of November. I was also supposed to go to Manila next week, but that trip has been deferred due to the typhoons that have been hitting the Philippines - another big one due to hit this week.

I have to admit that I do stay in better class hotels, but I rarely eat there - much better food available outside the hotel, and much cheaper. :)

So far, six loved it, two are buried in a rice paddy, and one is posting from a Malaysian prison. At least nobody so far likes Sarah Palin.

Primarily Singapore, Hong Kong, and China (Beijing) on business. Only been sick once, am pretty sure I picked up the stomach bug from the airline food

No evidence of worms crawling out my butt either. Perhaps my routine handling of my cat deworming stuff has taken care of it
