As title says, having a strange situation involving all 3 elements.

When using the turn signal (left or right) the backup camera displays on the dash screen for a split second and then the hazards come on (blinking) and stay on until the turn signal is turned off.

Same when putting on hazards - backup camera displays on the screen for a split second and then the hazards come on (blinking) and stay on until the hazards are turned off.

When car is put in reverse the backup camera works normally.

    Some notes:
The dash display shows the hazards (ie both left & right lights flashing) AND in fact the outside view confirms both front & back lights are flashing when in turn signal or hazard mode. When in reverse the dash display shows both left and right on solid & outside view confirms that (but I think the display showing both lights solid on is not normal when in reverse).

This started around the time that the car had a flat & the spare tire was removed from the back compartment. Because of that I looked back there and can see two loose white wires in the center of the back bumper area where spare tire would be stored. Not sure if those wires are supposed to be connected to each other or if there used to be some now missing module that they want to or if that's unrelated to the problem.

Any help or ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

If they are white wires with narrow black stripes, they are probably grounds. Look somewhere in the vicinity (maybe behind some trim) for a terminal bolted to the car body where they might have attached.

Broken grounds can cause a lot of unexpected behavior, because current being supplied on purpose to one circuit is now only able to return by passing through some other circuit too.
