I replaced my passenger side headlight because it was going out after about a minute of being turned on. The new headlight is doing exactly the same thing, and it's aimed in a different direction than it was before I replaced it. Any idea why this would still be happening?

If it's HID, then it's usually the ballast.

Sounds like you mounted the bulb at an angle, and didn't seat it properly.

I also just realized I put at D4R in, not the D2R. Is there any way to test the ballast?

Simple test is to interchange the two bulbs from passenger side to driver's side, etc. If the same side acts up, it's most likely the ballast. If the problem moves to the other side, it's a bad bulb.
